Experience Post- Noelani Jones

I thought it was cool to see how the artist had residencies and how she was even able to get housing through that. I think that the natural world has a big influence on what kind of art she makes because of the materials. She said that she also teaches and bakes so I wonder if those experiences influence her art at all. She is able to get most of her materials through her parents farm so I wonder how the budget would be diffrent for those who work in similar mediums. Growing up on her family's farm must have influenced her art in materials, look, and meaning. She also talked about using many different ways to weave to make it look different, I wonder what her favorite look is.
